Our Story
Planetworld started with four brothers, their Dad, and an obsession with great music and even better sound.
What began as a family business built around car audio has grown into something much bigger. The passion is still there. But today, Planetworld is about far more than sound.
We have evolved into Southern Africa’s premier value-added distributor of premium technology and lifestyle brands — representing products and solutions that are innovative, category-defining and, exciting.
Our job goes far beyond moving boxes. We build brands. We create markets. We develop go-to-market strategies, invest in marketing, educate consumers, train sales teams and provide deep pre- and post-sales support. Behind it all is a network of more than 2,000 customers across Sub-Saharan Africa, connecting the brands we represent with the people who ultimately use and fall in-love with them.
We are proudly rooted in family, but we have grown into an ambitious, fast-paced and decidedly No-BS business with bold ideas and even bigger ambitions. We like challenging convention. We take calculated risks. We move quickly. We aren't afraid to change the narrative or back an idea we believe in. And when we commit to something, we are determined to win — alongside our brand partners, our customers and our team.
