Immersive Cinema, Hidden by Design

The room's two full-length window walls presented a significant acoustic challenge, introducing reflections and unwanted room noise. With a large 158" screen in a compact family viewing environment, careful system design, speaker positioning and professional calibration were essential to achieve the right balance between performance, comfort and aesthetics.

The audio system is built around M&K Sound architectural speakers, with three IW150 speakers forming the front stage and four IW150 speakers providing the surround channels. Two IC95 in-ceiling speakers create the Dolby Atmos height layer. Dual M&K C15S subwoofers deliver deep, powerful low frequencies, adding impact and realism to every soundtrack. An Integra DRX-8.4 handles the system's processing, while a JVC DLA-NZ30 projector delivers the image onto the impressive 158" screen.

The finished cinema demonstrates how high-performance technology can be integrated into a refined residential environment without allowing the equipment to dominate the space. When the room is not in use, it maintains a clean and sophisticated aesthetic. Once the lights go down, the technology disappears and the experience takes over — creating an immersive environment designed for the whole family. More importantly, the cinema now serves as a hands-on demonstration space for Planetworld and BNC Technology, allowing dealers and end users to experience the performance, integration and possibilities of a professionally designed home cinema for themselves.
