Project

A Bigger Picture for Worship.

Project Brief

A New Chapter in Visual Production

Word and Life Church in Sunward Park, Boksburg, upgraded its ageing projection system to a comprehensive Leyard LED display solution. Working with Loud LED and installation partner Digital Dice, Planetworld supplied the technology for a multi-screen installation featuring a 14m × 4m central display, two side screens and additional stage-front LED displays. Powered by NovaStar processing technology, the new system provides a versatile visual platform for worship services, conferences and live performances.

Challenge

When Projection Reaches Its Limits

Word and Life's existing projection system was approaching the end of its operational life, with replacement projector lamps no longer available. As a multi-purpose venue hosting worship services, conferences, concerts and performances, the church needed a modern visual solution capable of accommodating a wide range of production requirements.

Solution

Making Room for a Bigger Picture

Working with Loud LED and Digital Dice, Planetworld supplied a comprehensive Leyard LED solution featuring a 14m × 4m central display, two 5.12m × 2.88m side screens and additional wrap-around displays along the front of the stage. Leyard GF2.5 and LRS039 LED panels were integrated with NovaStar processing technology to support live camera feeds, graphics and multimedia presentations.

Benefit

More Screens. More Possibilities.

The new LED installation provides Word and Life with a flexible visual platform suited to a variety of events and production requirements. From live worship broadcasts and dynamic graphics to conferences and performances, the multi-screen configuration enables more engaging visual presentations while replacing the limitations of the previous projection system.

Story

A New Vision for Worship and Beyond

For Word and Life Church in Sunward Park, Boksburg, the stage serves a purpose beyond traditional worship. As a multi-purpose venue hosting church services, conferences, school concerts and live performances, the space requires technology capable of adapting to a wide range of production needs. When the church's ageing projection system reached the point where replacement projector lamps were no longer available, it presented an opportunity to rethink the venue's visual capabilities. Working with Loud LED, Planetworld supplied Leyard LED technology to create a modern multi-screen environment. At the centre of the installation is an impressive 14m × 4m LED display, supported by two 5.12m × 2.88m side screens. Additional wrap-around LED displays along the front of the stage extend the visual experience across the performance area. The installation, completed by Digital Dice, incorporates Leyard GF2.5 indoor LED panels and LRS039 rental LED panels. NovaStar VX400, VX600 and VX1000 processors provide control over the visual content. The system supports a variety of applications, from live camera feeds and worship graphics to presentations and multimedia production. By transitioning from conventional projection to LED technology, Word and Life has created a more versatile visual environment that supports the diverse demands of its venue. The result is a modern display solution that brings greater flexibility and creative possibilities to worship services, conferences and live performances.
